Our NHS Wales e-Library's subscription to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Manual (2nd Edition), which started July 2025, provides equitable access to guidance and advice on Nursing Practices for Children and Young People.

New to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Manual of Children and Young People’s Nursing Practices?

Accessible through the NHS Wales e-Library, with guidelines for more than 300 procedures - covering neonatal to adolescent care - the manual demonstrates each procedure and speaks to the unique challenges of working with children and young people.  

New chapters address mental healthcomplementary therapieslearning difficulties, and the deteriorating child, whilst expanded content examines blood glucose monitoring, glucocorticoid treatment, insulin administration, diabetes care, surgical diathermy, non-invasive ventilation, and much more.
