NHS Wales Employees and Clinical Contract Holders

Need help finding evidence, e-Journals, articles, or using local and national e-resources? NHS Wales Library and Knowledge Service is here to help health boards and trusts with local library services and support. Make sure you register with your local library service to access those free services!

Social Care

The e-library's resources are available to nearly 10,000 people working in social care in Wales. This includes:

  • Registered social workers and social care managers (care home, residential child-care, and domiciliary care managers) that are privately, third sector, independent or self-employed or employed by one of Wales’ 22 unitary authorities (local authorities).
  • Those working within the social care environment and employed by a unitary authority (local authority); for example policy makers, researchers etc.

You can email elibrary@wales.nhs.uk if you are unsure if you are on the authorised user list.

Welsh Government

Did you know that staff employed, hosted by or working directly with Welsh Government health and social care departments are authorised to use the e-Library?  This also includes, but is not limited to:

  • The offices of the Welsh Chief Health Professionals
  • Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales
  • Welsh Government library, knowledge and analytical services staff

You and your teams can access the same national e-resources provided by the NHS Wales e-Library.
