The NHS Wales e-Library is celebrating UK Libraries Week with a series of webinars highlighting the many tools the e-Library has to support its users.
- The first – on Monday 7th October at 2pm – BMJ’s Ali Boukabache explores how personal accounts for BMJ resources allow users to access additional functions on the BMJ platform - like saving searches, exporting results and much more.

- At 2pm, Tuesday the 8th, , the e-Library’s Bex Meyrick invites you on a tour of e-Library resources as she spotlights accessibility features such as browser-extensions and plug-in tools. This Tour will look at available accessibility applications across Edge and Chrome, accessible platform features to support reading, and multi-media tools to enhance learning.
Welcome to you e-Library: Spotlight on Accessibility
- Next, join us on Wednesday 9th October at 2pm for a 360-look on the landscape of publishing in Health and Care in Wales delivered by the NHSW Library and Knowledge Service’s training group and the e-Library team. These top tips are sure to help anyone navigating the journey to getting published.
Getting Published
- We round off the week on Thursday 10th October at 10 with a one-hour introduction to effective methods for literature searching. This session will make use of the databases available to all NHS Wales staff and students via the NHS Wales e-Library. Whether you’re a student undertaking a course or a health professional simply wanting to keep up with evidence to support your CPD this webinar is for you.
