The NHS Wales e-Library is celebrating after an evening of successes at the annual DHCW Staff Award Ceremonies in Cardiff.

The e-Library team and its staff were nominated seven times and shortlisted for two awards in fields highlighting the championing of digital technology; engagement; collaboration; and inspiring others.

A special congratulations goes out to the e-Library’s Engagement and Learning Specialist Bex Meyrick who won the award in the ceremony’s “Living the Values” category. Bex is a member of the DHCW Equality, Diversity and Inclusion network and was instrumental in the development of the Viva DHCW Neurodiversity Community which has expanded to include all NHS Wales and currently has 221 members. Bex makes inclusivity a priority - from delivering webinars on utilising accessibility tools when accessing information and supporting literature searching training on the theme of LGBTQ+ History Month through to ensuring suppliers demonstrate the national resources on a range of subjects including neurodiversity in healthcare and social welfare.

“We’re over the moon that DHCW has acknowledged Bex’s hard work,” says NHS Wales e-Library and Knowledge Services Manager, Rachel Sully “All of us in the NHS Wales e-Library take great pride in delivering and working with its users, library teams, and suppliers, we’ll continue bringing our enthusiasm to our work each day.”
