About Me

e-Library Engagement and Learning Specialist

Please do call me Bex. I take a lead in the e-Library’s engagement and learning elements of the e-Library.

I joined the e-Library team in 2018, as the e-Library’s support officer, bring unique skills and experience from roles including Teaching Assistant, Customer Service, and working in Complaint Advocacy. I’ve been proud to be part of the NHS Wales family since 2012.

Since joining the team, I’ve enjoyed collaborating with the DHCW engagement team to produce our amazing Podcast Series: The Digital Health Podcast, which you can find in our Common Room

Since taking on the engagement and learning within the e-Library, I’ve been able to modernise the way we deliver webinars and training sessions, using methods known as “Synchronous” or Live webinars and “A-synchronous” which means the learning resource is pre-recorded, to help all our visitors who may also have competing priorities, and struggle to find any spare time for learning and CPD.

You can find many of our recorded sessions in our How To area

I’ve also introduced new and creative ways to capture feedback, from typical feedback surveys to User Stories to capture your feedback to improve the e-Library and improve the e-resources we subscribe to.

You can often find me on MS teams or at the end of an email (elibrary@wales.nhs.uk) if you need any help using the e-resources, and I’m always happy to come (virtually or in person) to show you around the e-Library.
