Libkey has landed in NHS Wales!
Accessing articles for e-Library users just got easier! Have you noticed a new icon showing on the bottom left of your browser screen sometimes?
This nifty little tool is here to help you to see whether you have access to a full-text article when you're browsing the internet, whichever website you're on!
It’s called LibKey and it’s known as a “Library Linking tool” which means it helps you to link up to content that we subscribe to in NHS Wales.
How does it work?
On your work device, when you come across an article or an e-Book and you have access through the NHS Wales e-Library, this button will help you get to where you can read that content, wherever you’ve started from!

Libkey is automatically active in your browsers if you’re in Aneurin Bevan UHB, Betsi Cadlwaladr UHB, Cardiff and Vale UHB and Public Health Wales, with Digital Health and Care Wales and Swansea Bay being rolled out by the end of September 2026.

Have you tried Browzine yet?
NHS Wales can now enjoy access to Browzine in addition to Libkey Library Linking tool.
We all know we shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, however we can now browse our e-Journal collections through subject area like never before!
If you’re looking for a selection of e-Journal titles available on “Breast Cancer”, Public Health or even “Social Work” browzine can be a useful tool to help your searching!

Does Browzine replace LibrarySearch?
No, you still should use LibrarySearch to access articles, e-Journals, e-Books and more. Like Libkey, Browzine is just an additional tool available to you via your e-Library that can improve your browsing experience.
