Please use this template to submit details of resources that you use frequently in your profession or specialty. The information in the template is meant as an example for what you might wish to submit. Do not feel the need to complete every section, and resources suggestions are gratefully received, and the e-Library team will format the template accordingly. To this end, if you have a single resource suggestion for inclusion which doesn't warrant the use of the full template, these submissions would also be welcomed. 1. Introduction

Travel Medicine is the branch of medicine that deals with the prevention and management of health problems of international travelers. Use this guide to find information resources about travel medicine including journals, databases, books, guidelines, publications and more.

We would like to thank participants of the travel health information survey, NHS Wales e-Library Champions Group and Medicines Information Colleagues for their support with putting this guide together. If you find that any resources are missing or would like to recommend a resource please contact us.

 

 

 

2.Evidence

TravelHealthPro is the website comprising the travel health resources of the National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC). TravelHealthPro is the recommended resource for Travel Health Information for Health and Care Professionals in NHS Wales

The BNF and BNFC is published jointly by the British Medical Association and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. BNF Publications reflect current best practice as well as legal and professional guidelines relating to the uses of medicines

The Green Book, produced by Public Health England has the latest information on vaccines and vaccination procedures, for vaccine preventable infectious diseases in the UK.

Clinical Knowledge Summaries are concise, accessible summaries of current evidence for primary care professionals.

BMJ Best Practice offers a step by step approach to help manage patient diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and prevention. It is structured around the patient consultation, with advice on symptom evaluation, tests to order and treatment approach. It supports health and care professionals at the point of care providing information around real, diverse and evolving medical information needs.

The RCN is a membership organisation of more than 435,000 registered nurses, midwives, nursing support workers and nursing students. They are both a professional body, carrying out work on nursing standards, education and practice, and a trade union.

The Royal College of General Practitioners is the professional body for general practitioners in the United Kingdom. The RCGP represents and supports GPs on key issues including licensing, education, training, research and clinical standards.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society promote pharmacy in the media and government, lead the way in medicines information, and support pharmacists in their education and development.
